Hawaiian Christmas- Part 3 PEARL HARBOR

Freddy and I are real WWII buffs. We were looking forward to going to Pearl Harbor on this trip. Such a quite reverence that goes with touring this place of history. And to be quite honest... a bit eerie. The men who fought on the Arizona the day of the surprise attack by Japan and went down on the boat still lie in the sunken ship. Oil still leaks from what's left of it. We also toured the Missouri, where WWII ended. Both amazing tours and gave me a real sense of pride in my country and for the courageous men who fought that day and through out our countries history. Wish the kids would have had some idea of where we were or what we were doing, but they liked the big boats and guns and had a good time anyway...

Real picture of the attack. The beginning of WWII for America.

View of the Arizona and the memorial.

Japan and Hawaii.

Best bud cousins.

The tready signed.

Picture of exactly where it was signed on the Missouri.

A small part of the Arizona. You can somewhat see the oil up to the left.

The memorial of the names of those lives lost. Such a great experience. Glad to have this part of the trip.
