Mini Church History Tour

Since Freddy and Rick were in NY for the Bills game and they had an extra day there, they decided to do a little church history tour. (I love this about our men. They love the gospel so much!)

Let's Go Buff-u-lo!

For Father's Day this year, my sister Monica and I bought Freddy and her hubby Rick tickets to a Buffalo game, in Buffalo, NY! Freddy's never been amongst his peeps, so we thought it was time! They went to the Buffalo/Saints game this weekend and had a great time. We thought they needed some brotherly-in-law bonding time together. Awww... so sweet. The Saints barely won, but Freddy claimed they still had a great trip!

Homecoming Girly Junk

One of my former Mia Maids called me to do her hair and make-up for her Homecoming. I think I just need to break down and finally get my cosmetic license! I did some beautiful violets and purples for her eyes. Anyway, I love making pretty people prettier and I love doing girly make-up stuff!

I am a SH-O-TY!! She is wearing heels, though.

Freddy's New League

Watch out Eli Manning...

The Fred is taking the field...

and taking you down!!

(Well, really, Freddy started a new league tonight and was able to organize his own team. He got the shirts done and everyone organized for it. He's been waiting a few weeks for the big night. I'll have to let you know how they do...)

Post Post: They won... 25-0. Put that in your back pocket.

A Fun Experiment

For those who know me, you know I looooove make-up! Lately, I've been researching more techniques on how to use it better since my face is really the only thing I can enhance on my body right now! I've kinda been doing these online courses to refresh my skills and there was a challenge to only use black and white eyeshadow to create any kind of look. It made me think of old movie stars and their dramatic make-up, so I tried to pull off an early 1920's moviestar look and it was so much harder than I thought! It also taught me why their make-up was so dramatic. I caked on so much stuff that I felt funny wearing it at first. Then I took a picture and added the vintage black and white feature to it and you can barely see anything! So here's the vintage shot and a straight on shot so you can see how much I had on. Even in color, the bottom pictures don't even show how much I really had on. I learned a lot, and it was a fun challenge! If I try anything else, I'll give it a post...

Student By Day... Super Hero By Night!

Tre started Preschool and he loves it! His teacher, Ms. Cassie, was in our last ward and super awesome with the kids! Tre has been walking away glowing!

Remember Underoo's?? I had Wonder Woman and Super Girl! Tre totally digs on Spiderman so we got him a pair. We also ordered this ski mask and gloves in the Spidey theme and he loves it. Of course, he posing in the most un-super-hero-like pose...

Labor Day

We took our kids to Disneyland for the first time since before summer and we seemed to struggle with them being there before. They just didn't get it! Well being pregnant and wanting to stay out of the summer heat pays off because all my kids did this summer was catch up on Disney movies! So this time, they had a BLAST! It's so fun hearing them sing the songs a know what's going on on each ride. Brooklyn covered her eyes on half of the rides, but she still enjoyed them. The nice thing about marrying an awesome person is you inherit their awesome friends! Blair and Shanna invited us out for Labor Day. They have two kids of their own Tre and Brooklyn's age, so we always have a great time with them! Thanks guys! You're awesome!

First ER Trip!

So I guess I wrote my last post on Tre's accidents too soon! I decided to go visit Monica this weekend in Vegas to help make the time pass in my uncomfortable pregnant state. Our only night to really go out together was Friday night. Unfortunately, Tre and his cousin Rowan were playing a bit too hard on the couches, where I reminded them numerous times to get off, and Tre went flying backwards into the coffee table, slitting his forehead open. It's funny how you handle things differently when it's your kid! When I was a 2nd grade teacher, I handled way worse stuff and didn't flinch. But as soon as I saw blood trickling down the front of his face, I almost went into a state of shock! Thank goodness Rick and Monica were so patient and sweet with him, I would have passed out! Tre handled himself well, too. He cried for maybe a minute then asked for a cookie, which made me feel better... Anyway, we ended up in the ER, with virtually no one there (as you can see in the picture) and waited a good 45 min. to get in. What a joke. By the time we did get in, Tre was passed out from exhaustion. He literally slept through the whole thing. Everyone was actually very nice with him. No stitches, just glued back together. Not my idea of a fun night out in Vegas, but sure was an interesting first trip to the ER!

Finally!

It's happened! It's official! I have a potty trained son! I sincerely never thought this day would come! It only took him 6 months to get there, but he's there. (Sigh.) It's ironic that Brooklyn is right behind him! Girls really do catch on faster. What a dream it would be to have both trained before the baby comes. A mom can dream, can't she??

Freddy and Football

Freddy loves football and especially loves playing! He plays every Thursday night in downtown San Diego in a league and Saturdays with another group in Vista! The kids and I decided to tag along this day. It's really funny how many of the guys are surprised he has 2 kids and one on the way! Freddy is a natural leader so they often put him in charge of setting things up  and arranging plays. A fun day! Proud of my man...
