Pictures by Dana Willis

My friend Dana was in town for the holidays and I took advantage of her being here since she's an awesome photographer! We did this on the one rainy day she was here and she totally pulled it off! She basically used a black blanket and natural light. And when the rain stopped, she ran the kids outside real quick. She put Knox in a cute little basket and got some amazing shots! Thank you so much, Dana! You really did an incredible job! Click on Dana Willis Photography to see her blog of work. She's located in Utah and makes trips to California once in a while.

Superhero Slumber Party!

Tre turns 4 next Wednesday (the 27th) but we decided to have a Superhero Slumber Party for him last night. We wanted it small so he asked to have his cousins Thor and Spencer over. I spent all day making Superman cupcakes which was a hit! We had pizza and junk food. And by "we" I mean I ate a ton of pizza and junk food...We rented Superman, Batman, Spiderman, Super Dog... you name it, we got it. Thor and Spencer got Tre some cool action figures and superhero coloring stuff. They were so hyped up on sugar, it was hard getting them down, but we finally did. Tre had a blast! We are grateful for good friends! And sugar.

Attempting the French Braid

Now that Brooklyn has longer hair, I have to practice my styling skills. I practiced a french braid yesterday which I learned to do on myself, but never could do on anyone else. It turned out decent...

For Monica...

I have one sibling, my sister Monica. I have few tight girlfriends in my life and she happens to be one of them. She makes me laugh till tears are uncontrollable, she gives me advice in time of need. We have so many stupid inside jokes that still make me split my sides. We are completely different but so much the same that we understand each other. I love this girl. She had mentioned I was posting a ton of pictures of some of my other friends and none of her. I went to Vegas this weekend and we had a great time together. She took me out to Roy's (AMAZING!) because she had a gift card there. Check out the chocolate lava cake (with Monica's JAZZ hand). So delicious! We went shopping and watched some football... a really fun weekend. Plus it's nice to have Tre and Brooklyn play with cousins. So here's some pics of us, pretty lady! Love you!

Who's This Kid??

Tre got a haircut! Since Freddy buzzed his head, Tre wanted to too! I didn't recognize him when I first saw him! He's had his locks for so long, I forgot what was under there! He loves the end result, though the buzz didn't go as smooth as planned...

Rollin' Into 2010

What better way to bring in the New Year than with good friends. Blair, Shanna and their kids came down from Chino to stay with us for the weekend of New Years and we had a blast with them! We got sitters for our kids New Years Eve and took Blair and Shanna to Pei Wei's. We found out they had never tried any kind of seafood, which we could not believe! So we made them try some different kinds of shrimp there. They were very brave. We then went to see Avatar which blew my mind! I was floored with the special effects! Beautiful movie. Last, we went to my friend Leanne's house for a karaoke party. However, no one was rockin' the mic, so that's where Freddy and I came in. We broke the ice with "Endless Love". Worked out pretty good, I thought. Some of the boys sang a very gay version of "I'm All Out of Love". Awesome. The Harris' always know how to throw a good party, so we enjoyed ourselves a great deal! Anxious to see what 2010 brings! Happy New Year, y'all! (I bought an awesome red lipstick color the day before and wanted to test it so I did a Rockabilly vintage makeup style that night. Not my normal, everyday look but fun to wear for the evening! Fancy, schmancy.)
