'Tis the Season!

I realize how many frown upon early Christmas decorating. I know, I used to be that person. Then I met Freddy. His birthday is October 23rd and has always believed that Christmas really starts the day after that. (I still think that to be a bit absurd.) But midway November doesn't seem to bother me anymore. It makes me feel like a little girl again and year by year as my kids are getting older and now getting it, it's even more fun to see the excitement in their eyes, learning the songs and really feeling the spirit of joy. Now, I believe we feel that on an every day basis, so Christmas seems to kick it up a notch! So to all you Humbug's... BACK OFF! (As you can tell, I'm enjoying my camera very much!)

We usually do a Beach theme.

DWTS '10

Really, I don't have pictures of us actually at the show. They take your camera and phone before you go in... So my friend Shannon invited me to a Dancing with the Stars taping and we had a blast! This was actually my 3rd time going, but it's always fun to see everything live. We actually didn't see very much! Right before the show started, one of the workers came over to us in our far distance row, and re-seated us right behind the judges! So awesome! We talked to them, and got to be a little bit closer to the action. We really just stared at the judges behinds the whole time. We really didn't have much of a choice. I actually sat right behind Bruno. It was funny watching the show back and every time Bruno would pick up his arm, PEEK-A-BOO... there I was! So funny. And great night spent with great friends! Thanks Shannon!
Shannon in the middle. One of her friends bailed out at last minute, so I got my friend  (and hair stylist) Jennifer to come.
My leather pants had fun too.
Cassie and Shannon.
Me and Jen.
We went to a restaurant that was real close to the studio and a lot of the dancers showed up there too. Cassie snuck a picture of Louie Van Amstel. Later, Kurt Warner showed up. Sorry... wish I could have gotten some in studio pictures with costumes and everything. You'll just have to trust me and know we were there. Or, go watch it online and find me behind Bruno. ;)

Cool By Nature??

While putting the kids to bed last night, I was mentioning to Freddy how we need to teach Tre how to not do certain things so he won't be socially awkward someday. Freddy came back with, "Babe... he's my son. That means he's cool by nature..." You be the judge.

My Nikon and Me

I finally did it. I buckled down and bought myself a new camera! A Nikon d90! I sacrificed a weekend makeup course in LA for it, but I figured this would be the time to get it. I was asking all of my photography friends for help with my portfolio and it was starting to cost me. And I'm blogging all of the time. I thought it would also be smart just to have one with my profession and all. My only dilemma? I have no idea of what I'm doing. So I'm getting help from my friends and watching youtube videos for help. But for now, I'm having fun playing. I love learning how to do new things like this! Keep an eye out for photography genius-ness! Haha.
Literal first shot out of the box.
Muscle flexin' cutie pie.
I'm a tard. I, for the life of me couldn't, position the camera to get  even half of me in. I tried to use my bathroom with lots of mirriors to make it work. This is like one out of 20 that somewhat looked editorial-like, or like I knew what I was doing. I have got so much to learn!

Halloween '10!

For this Halloween, Tre was Spiderman, Brooklyn was Belle, Knox was a skeleton/superman, and Freddy and I were South Floridian retired tourists. (Really my inspiration was Magda, so we just rolled with that theme...)

Getting Belle ready.
Nana and Papa came over.

Sexy.
More sexy.
Trunk or Treat. It turned out to be a pretty chilly night!

Making "Mummy Dogs" for Moe and Amy's party.
Tre's homeboy's. They just wanna fight a little evil and party together.
I met my new niece, Hallie. You can tell I held her for a little while since my tan rubbed off on her. Ha!
No words for this kind of cuteness...
Such fun food! We had bones and blood, ghost cookies, etc. Clev-aw!
Making candy bags and cookies.
In a nutshell... what the party was like. Chaos!!
Grandpa Kuhn starting off scary stories.
Then Scott...
Then the Fred...
And even Brooklyn! Pretty much every kid told a story that night. Long night!
Costume parade.
Happy Halloween, hun.
