Kuhn Girls Weekend Out

We did a fun girls weekend out this weekend. The girls met up for dinner, went shopping, and stayed at my place. The following day we went to breakfast at Mimi's, got mani/pedi's and went shopping at the Carlsbad Outlets. It was a nice 24 hour time together without the kids before the boys leave to Indonesia for their surf trip. I love my sisters! They all made me laugh hard! Thanks gals for a great weekend!

Sondra has this awesome camera that takes pictures on demand when you smile. So we put it on shutter and we just kinda went off. Hilarious! Way too much fun!

Shopping at the outlets. Heaven, to me, is made up of outlet stores...oh, and sister-in-laws.Good times y'all.

So Freddy makes fun of me because I am Miss Convenience. When we were first dating, he saw that I had a BAGEL SLICER and thought it was the stupidest thing he had ever heard of. But I hate cutting bagels, so I liked it. To this day, we won't let me down on it. But I do have to admit, I am a convenience fiend. I totally get off on find new things to make my life easier. I'm not talking iPods or cell phones...I'm talking your average, everyday stuff. So here are of list of my FAVORITE THINGS of convenience:

 

1. Ziploc Steam Bags - I HATE to cook! But my sis-in-law, Amy, told me about these incredible little plastic bags that heat your food in minutes. Freddy and I are on the low carb diet and it's perfect to steam veggies and cook chicken or fish in minutes... even frozen. I can easily make a healthy, delicious meal in 7 minutes!! (K - I need to be writing commercials...)

2. Mr. Clean Magic Eraser - Alright. At first I thought they sounded stupid, but they are the mother of all sponges living. (A thank you to Amy Kay, once again...) They basically take any marks off your walls, scum off of sinks, you name it... it removes it.

3. Dirt Devil Broom Vac - Self explanatory. It's a broom that vacuums up your crap. And for being a little thing, it's super powerful! I just hate bending over to sweep up all the mess on the floor.

4. Johnson &Johnson Wash Clothes - Pre-soaped up to just was dirty babies/toddlers and and then toss.

5. Kerastase Hair Serum - Well I don't know if this is necessarily a convenience this, but it's a favorite product of mine that my sister Monica introduced me to.  You know how much hair I have and I've used every serum there is out there, but this one totally relaxes my hair and anti-frizzes it.

So these are just of few, but I tag everyone to list their convenience items. I'm always up to finding out about new, brilliant little things. It's such a cheap thrill!

Freddy's Stand-Up

Freddy did some stand-up for this banquet our ward held. He was a big success! Everyone loved him. I keep trying to talk him into getting back into it. It takes a lot of dedication and he works so hard, so I can see why he's not that motivated to do it anymore. I'll work on him...Him doing a great impression of Tre. Being married to Freddy is anything but boring!

Pool Days...

Freddy took the kids to the pool yesterday. Tre wore his wetsuit and I broke out Brooklyn's bikini I bought her a while ago. I've been dying to see her in it! Flippin' adorable!

Brooklyn's Birthday/ Mother's Day

Brooklyn's actual birthday is today, Mother's Day, which is kinda sad cause every time her birthday lands on a Sunday it will have to be shared on Mother's Day. She has been such a joy in our lives this year! I also had a great Mother's Day. Freddy made breakfast and he made me an awesome slideshow of pictures on our computer of the kids and me. Very sweet! There's nothing I love more than my family!!! Happy Birthday, B! Thanks for Sharing your day with me!

My sis-in-law, Kati and her girls got Brooklyn these sweet, little princess PJ's! She was princess for the day!

Brooklyn's 1st Birthday Party

It was a beautiful day to celebrate Brooklyn's birthday! Most of her cousins came along with the grandparents, aunts and uncles. We did a "Flip-Flop/ Hawaiian" theme. Everyone got lei's, and the girls got flowers for their hair. We ate too much junk and played way too long in the sunshine. A fun day for all.

My friend Amanda, who I taught 2nd grade with at Carden, and her husband, Joe, showed up. We had always talked about getting together for a double date, but that was like 4 years ago. They came all the way from Lake Forest to hang with us. We ended up hanging out with them the rest of the evening so we finally got our double date. We had a great time with them!
