Day at the Park

Saturday was beautiful. I've been feeling so bad for the kids because we've had so much rain lately. We took the kids to an awesome park we have around the corner from us. Tre's pretty fearless on all the slides and all the climbing. We had a great time!

Freddy had fun, too!!

Don't cha Wish You Mama Was Hot Like Mine!

My mom did her first Latin competition this weekend at the California Open. I was so proud of her! She danced awesome and looked friggin' hot! (Hello! She's 60 next month!) She was super nervous at first but once she got on the floor I'm sure it felt like home to her. She was very comfortable and you could tell she was just having a great time out there. She won a whole bunch of 1st and 2nd places which I know she wasn't even expecting. All around it was a great weekend. Congratulations, Mom! I'm glad you've got your dancing shoes back on!

With Joe Way, our Ballroom coach.

Purdy ladies!!

Dad came for support. He kept eyeing her and giving her lovey, support kisses.

I ran into one of my old teammates from back in the day, Felipe. Our team won in Blackpool together. Him and his wife are successful Latin champions now with their own dance studio. Beautiful dancers.

I also ran into an old dance teacher of mine, Brent Mills. He has since retired and now owns a record company. He ran some of the music at the event. It is seriously a small world in Ballroom Dancing. (Unfortuantely, my camera wasn't working very well this day.)

Our Latin Diva and her awards! Viva la Diva!

Happy Anniversary!

Freddy and I went to Vegas this weekend to celebrate our 5 year anniversary. It's amazing how much your life can change in 5 years! I've married the most amazing man in the world! Rad husband, awesome father! I'm super blessed. Anyway, my sister Monica lives in Vegas with her husband Rick and their 3 boys so they watched our kids while we stayed in a Hilton hotel on the strip. We got to sleep in for 2 days! I can't remember the last time we got to do that! We also got to have some family time so it was all around a great trip! I love you, Freddy! Thanks for making me so happy!

I got Freddy a pound of chocolate from See's. We finished it the first night in the hotel...no joke!

Playtime in the backyard at Rick and Monica's.

I was trying to teach Tre how to peddle on his tri. He wasn't quite getting it! I'm lucky enough to stand 4' 11" tall to show him how it was done.

With Monica and Rick. Love 'em!! Thanks for your help guys!
