Country Band 2009

July of every year, I sing in a country band for a Pioneer Day celebration. I've been doing it with my friend Cathy Tibbitts for about 8 years now, and it's really fun. It's really one of the few chances I get to sing. I'm not a huge country fan, but the songs we have are fun and the people I sing with are great. The band has amazing players, so we fool around with a lot of the songs.  It was a very hot day and being pregnant didn't help the breath control, but the kids had fun. Lots of games and junk food! Kuhn Girls Weekend Out '09

The Kuhn sister's try to get together at least once a year for a weekend (more like 24 hour) getaway. This year we went out to Kati's house in Lake Elsinore and hit the Outlets there for a day. It was about 104 degrees outside! We then hit dinner at Lone Star, yum, and headed to Kati's to stay the night. We actually stayed up till about 3:30am talking. Not much sleep at all! The next day we finished off with mani/pedi's and headed back to reality. Thank goodness I adore my realistic life at home, though time away is always refreshing! Thanks for the fun day ladies!!

Arrrr!!!

I woke up to two little voices this morning saying, "ARRRR!" Freddy had dressed them up because they were watching Pirates of the Caribbean.  We worked with what we had. Do you like Tre's dinosaur/parrot? 

Ladera Rocks!

My friend Erika lives in Ladera Ranch and they have the most amazing waterpark there! The water is only 18" deep and they have a big bucket at the top of the water playground that dumps every 2-3 minutes on the kids! Amazing!! I just sat and watched the kids wear themselves out! Thanks, Erika! I'm so jealous that's right in your backyard!!!

4th '09

My camera died the first 15 minutes of our fun 4th of July, but I got a few. We hung with my parents; swam, played, ate, and my dad, of course, outdid himself with all of the food! Later that night we went and watched amazing fireworks in San Juan. The kids had a blast! We are incredibly blessed to live in this country and to have such an amazing family!

Sea World

My friend Lisa Bramwell Stout came out and stayed with me this past Wednesday with her family. I always love when they come out. We grew up together so we are really family. My gosh we could talk for hours!! Anyway, we met up at Sea World with my other "Bramwell women." I met Tammy's family which I hadn't yet and Mama Linda. It was a very brief visit since the kids hadn't slept at all the night before and Tre had been getting over being sick so we were there maybe 3 hours. The kids always enjoy it! I'll have to take advantage of our year pass more often. Anyone wanna go?? Lisa... you know know my invitation is always open... (That's not Shamu in the purple shirt at the end... it's pregnant little me.)

I have to brag a bit...

This is my little Hannah... though not so little anymore! When I worked with the Kasatsky's (they're brilliant trainers... check out their website V&T Dance) I had the pleasure of doing the Contemporary pieces with their incredibly trained students and Hannah was one of them. I've had the chance to see her blossom into this. Beautiful girl! I believe she is training in Moscow right now and is having an amazing time! I miss choreographing terribly, but it's so hard with little ones. I'll do it again someday! You are on your way, miss Hannah! I sure miss you!!

"Gonna Dress You Up in My Love..."

Another "Rock Band" party. We put in a request for costumes, but only a few delivered. Apparently my friend Kara and I had the same Madonna idea. I was just the knocked up Madonna. We now have a smoke and light machine which makes rocking more fun but fogs up all the pictures. Always a great time!
