Christmas Eve '09

We had a great Christmas Eve! I bought Freddy a turkey fryer because we had talked about doing a Christmas Eve tradition of fried turkey each year. We invited Freddy's parents over and prepared an awesome dinner. The turkey turned out amazing! We did our annual gift giving of pj's to wear the night before. Tre got spiderman, Brooklyn got Sponge Bob and Knox got football pj's. We gave Fred and Sylvia their gifts early. At Tre's preschool, they had given him "special reindeer food" with sparkles and oats in a bag. We sprinkled it on our lawn so that when the light hit the sparkles, the reindeer would find our house easier! So cute! Tre had fun throwing it on the lawn. They went to bed easy and were so excited for Santa to come! Freddy and I spent the rest of the night wrapping gifts and watched movies by the fire. A great Christmas Eve!

Christmas Comedy!

Freddy and I were asked to do a comedy routine for a Christmas party the other night. We asked my friend Cathy Tibbitts to help us with the music. We literally threw this together! Had we had more time to practice it would have been more put together, but it was fun for what is was... Enjoy!

Meeting Santa

We took the kids to meet Santa the other day and they loved it! I thought they'd be a bit stand offish, but they were great! They are totally in the Christmas spirit with all the trees and the lights! We are having such a fun time with them this year!

I LOVE this picture of Tre! He's with my cousin Aaron's son, surfing... I think. But to me he looks like Johnny from "The Karate Kid." Awesome.

Gingerbread Fun

We are having so much fun with the kids this year for Christmas! They are starting to get into the spirit of it all! We got this gingerbread kit and they had a blast putting it together... and taking it apart to eat! Knox even joined in the fun!

Knox's Blessing

After a long week with Thanksgiving and Heidi's wedding, we decided to make it even harder for everyone and have Knox's blessing that Sunday. But everybody seemed to be great sports about it. Freddy did a beautiful blessing and Knox did so good. We had a get together at our house afterward and it all turned out nicely. You could tell Tre didn't want Papa to leave at the end...

Heidi's Wedding

My sister-in-law, Heidi, got married last week! I was lucky enough to do the brides makeup for her big day and she turned out beautiful! It was a sweet session and they were glowing for the rest of the day. There was a luncheon after the session and a reception that night. If was a beautiful day! Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. David Wideman! Good luck in your happy life together!
