Samba Mama

So here's a good laugh for you... Everyone always asked how I was able to dance up to my last month of pregnancy. Obviously it wasn't easy, or even graceful, but it always put my head in the right place. This was my last lesson before having Knox. Erik, my coach, just wanted to record choreography for us to remember for when I came back. After he recorded it, we both had a good laugh watching me attempt our samba. Knox's poor little head was probably spinning after dancing this... Anyway, enjoy.

Palm Desert Anniversary/Valentines Weekend

For our 7 year anniversary and Valentine's weekend, we decided to go to my parents condo in Palm Desert. Since our friends Blair and Shanna share their anniversary a week before us, we invited them to come along. It was a beautiful weekend! The sun was out, but cool enough to enjoy. Fortunately (or unfortunately) for Freddy I totally adore Blair's wife Shanna, so we go off on our own a lot when we're together. We went to the outlets, got massages, our nails done, and ate at some great places. We ended up bring Knox since I'm still breast feeding and of course the one romantic night out he decided to be a pill. (We had a sitter for T&B.) But it's nice having friends who have kids of their own. They were incredibly helpful. I got Freddy a new, titanium wedding ring. (I believe this is #5. What is it with men and their wedding rings?!) I got me a MANDY necklace which hasn't showed up yet. Pics to come... Overall, we had a very short lived weekend get away! But a total blast! (My dad had just bought a sheepskin rug for their room so it was only necessary to model a sassy picture on it! We had way too much fun with that thing!)

She Bangs! She Bangs!

So I just cut bangs. You'd think this wasn't such a big deal, but it is. Growing up, I always had to have bangs because of my magnificently, large forehead. (Thanks, mom.) Then right before I turned 16 I decided to go for it and grow them out. I ended loving not having them because you could pull them back, they wouldn't get in my eyes and I just felt all around... prettier without them. I've been on again off again with them for a long time, but every time I cut them, I feel like I turn back into that annoying little freckled faced kid from back in the day. Then I realized, uh, I'm 32. And bangs can be hot. If you work 'em. Which I'm gonna try to do... till I get sick of them.
