If any of you have ever seen the cult classic "Xanadu", then you know awesomeness in its purest form. OK, not really. Xanadu is a really poorly made rollerskating movie from the 80's that I grew up on. The music is all written by ELO, so you know it's awesome. Anyway, Freddy overheard me say I'd be interested in seeing the musical so he got me tickets for the day after Christmas. He wasn't about to lower his manly standards to go see it with me, so I invited my friend Shanna to go with me. We had a blast! We met up at South Coast Plaza since the show was at OC Performing Arts Center. Made a trip to MAC, since my mom got me a gift card there for Christmas, and ate at the Nordstrom Cafe, one of my favorite places to eat. On the way there, there was a lit catwalk outside of Nordstrom that I couldn't resist walking on. It kinda made my night, actually. The show was pretty good. They made it into a comedy which is the only way would work now. The movie is actually supposed to be a love story. Gene Kelly is even in it with Olivia Newton-John. Doesn't that give it any credibility? But all in all, a lot of fun! Thanks, Freddy! "Keep me suspended in time with you..." You Xanadu lovers will get that. Wink, wink.

Christmas '09
The kids were up about 6am, but expected. They waited at the top of the stairs until we did our ooo's and ahhh's of what Santa brought. They were so excited to see he came! They got a lot of fun toys. Brooklyn got a lot of princess toys and Tre got a lot of car and superhero things. Knox got binky's and bath toys. I got Freddy some football stuff and a Garmin for his car. Freddy got me new running shoes, requested by me, a Nano and Xanadu tickets! He did good! Later on, we had our Kuhn Christmas party at Moe and Amy's. We had a ton of food, telling of the Christmas story by Fred, rock band and a mini beauty salon my nieces put on for the kids. Very cute. We took the kids to see The Chipmunks Movie and went home and crashed. We love Christmas, but we're so glad it only comes once a year!
Christmas Eve '09
We had a great Christmas Eve! I bought Freddy a turkey fryer because we had talked about doing a Christmas Eve tradition of fried turkey each year. We invited Freddy's parents over and prepared an awesome dinner. The turkey turned out amazing! We did our annual gift giving of pj's to wear the night before. Tre got spiderman, Brooklyn got Sponge Bob and Knox got football pj's. We gave Fred and Sylvia their gifts early. At Tre's preschool, they had given him "special reindeer food" with sparkles and oats in a bag. We sprinkled it on our lawn so that when the light hit the sparkles, the reindeer would find our house easier! So cute! Tre had fun throwing it on the lawn. They went to bed easy and were so excited for Santa to come! Freddy and I spent the rest of the night wrapping gifts and watched movies by the fire. A great Christmas Eve!

Christmas Comedy!
Freddy and I were asked to do a comedy routine for a Christmas party the other night. We asked my friend Cathy Tibbitts to help us with the music. We literally threw this together! Had we had more time to practice it would have been more put together, but it was fun for what is was... Enjoy!
